Build up your resistance with hydrotherapy
The demands of everyday life put many people into a permanent state of stress. They lose their balance and feel exhausted. This is bound to have consequences and with time weakens their immune system noticeably. To maintain health, a balance between strain and relaxation as well as activity and rest is important. Hydrotherapy as a natural remedy is an important tool in maintaining this balance because the effect of the various applications is also based on contrasts. The varied hydrotherapeutic treatments are founded on a difference in temperature between the body and water. Depending on the respective condition, water is used at different temperatures, e.g. cold or warm, alternating between warm or cold, or hot, and in different forms, e.g. as a fluid or as steam. Many of these treatments have a stimulating effect on circulation and boost the body's own resistance.
Also spas are used more frequently for hydrotherapeutic purposes. Hot whirlpool baths provide therapeutic benefits and relieve many symptoms in a gentle manner. As the largest sense organ in the human body, the skin plays a significant role in the defence mechanisms of the entire organism. The increased warming of the skin during a whirlpool bath intensively activates a function of the skin known as esophylaxis (anti-body forming function of the skin) and can thus help to build up resistance.
